We understand that as audience attention spans shorten and brands face increasing budget pressures, expectations for video content continue to rise. Video assets need to do more than build brand awareness; they must also support commercial objectives, communicate key brand messages and resonate with diverse audiences, from local Hongkongers to the city's international community.
We deliver projects with our in-house Hong Kong based team. Based out of our office located right in the heart of Hong Kong Island on Hollywood Road, our team of creative strategists, creative directors, producers and editors works on your project as one team.
Brand films and television commercials carry a brand’s biggest messages, so they need an idea that holds up across a long campaign.
We develop that idea from your brand strategy first, then build the script, casting, locations and edit around it.
For The Peninsula Hotels, the Hong Kong-based luxury hotel group, we developed a four-year episodic campaign of character-led films that brought the group’s ultra-luxury portfolio together under one brand idea, made for digital, social and brand communications. Each year we produced three hero films, supported by high-end campaign photography, and every film had its own visual identity while sharing one creative language with the rest of the series. The films were built around colleagues’ personal stories and their connection to each host city, shining a light on the people behind The Peninsula’s guest experience.
Social video is made for vertical screens and has to hold attention from its first seconds.
We plan social content as its own part of the production, with a separate shot list and formats, and with talent and influencers where they help the idea travel further.
When Hyatt partnered with HYROX to offer an exclusive promotion to participants across Asia-Pacific, we reframed race day as a “race-cation” that combined training and competition with recovery and exploration. Hong Kong fitness influencer Ryan Cheung fronted the campaign, and over a two-day production with the Hyatt team we filmed the fitness, dining and wellness offerings at several Hyatt hotels in Hong Kong. The content was made for social media and Hyatt’s website, and was designed to connect Hyatt with a highly engaged fitness audience across the region and to encourage race participants to extend their stays.
We produce corporate films, employer branding films, executive interviews, customer case studies and documentary-style stories for companies that need to explain who they are to employees, candidates, partners and investors.
For Octopus, we made a film to bring the company’s culture to life, strengthen employees’ sense of belonging and encourage them to embrace its core values. The film featured employees from different departments and connected the company’s values with the role Octopus plays in everyday life across Hong Kong. With colleagues at the centre of the story, the message came from the people it was made for.
Our in-house post-production team handles creative editing, colour grading, sound design, music supervision and audio mixing, together with motion graphics, visual effects and animation. Where a product or process is easier to explain than to film, we combine live action with 2D or 3D animation. For Lendo, a Saudi Arabian fintech company, we made crowdfunding easier to understand by blending live-action footage with 2D and 3D animation, with the live-action shoot in China managed remotely by our Hong Kong team.
We produce versions in the languages your audiences use, with voice-over and subtitles.
Our Hong Kong team works with colleagues in Singapore and London, so a campaign produced here can be delivered to markets across Asia-Pacific, the UK and Europe.
We draw on our extensive local knowledge and production expertise. We know Hong Kong's best filming locations, understand the cultural nuances that shape how different audiences respond to content, and create videos that can be used not only in Hong Kong but across the wider Asia-Pacific region. Our Hong Kong team brings together brand strategists, experienced creatives, directors, and production and post-production specialists, allowing us to manage every stage of the process, from the first draft of the script to the final edit. Over the years, we've had the privilege of producing video content for leading brands, including The Peninsula Hotels, Hyatt and Octopus Card.
The first conversation is about what the video has to achieve and how success will be measured, whether that is reach, completed views, enquiries or job applications. Once the script or treatment is approved, we scout locations, cast talent and plan the shoot day by day.
Location, venue and drone permissions are planned into pre-production, so shoot days are spent filming. A member of your team can join the shoot to answer questions on the spot.
Feedback from your team is gathered in review rounds agreed when we plan the project. Once the master edit is approved, we grade, mix and produce the versions and cut-downs for each channel, then deliver every file in the formats your media and social teams need.

A video production agency plans, films and edits video for brands and businesses. At Carbon, that covers the strategy and creative idea, scripting, casting and location planning, filming in Hong Kong and across the region, and post-production through to the versions needed for each channel.
Most marketers who use it say so. In Wyzowl’s Video Marketing Statistics 2026 survey, carried out in late 2025, 82% of marketers said video had given them a good return on investment, and 93% said it had helped people understand their product or service. The return is easier to see when every film is made for a clear objective and channel, so it can be measured and reused.
The budget depends on the number of shoot days and locations, the size of the crew, talent and voice-over, any animation or visual effects, and how many edits, formats and language versions are needed. A set of social clips from one shoot day is a very different budget from a television commercial with a full cast. We give you a costed proposal once the deliverables are clear.
The timeline depends on how much pre-production and approval the project needs, the number of shoot days, any permits involved, the number of review rounds and the versions to be delivered. We set the schedule from your launch or campaign date, so you know at the start whether the date is realistic.
It depends on where you film. Filming in public places can involve several government departments. The Film Services Office coordinates with them when considering a No Objection Letter for location filming, and the police can assist where a shoot needs lane or road closures. We build these applications into pre-production.
Yes, within Hong Kong’s drone rules. Small unmanned aircraft are regulated by the Civil Aviation Department under the Small Unmanned Aircraft Order (Cap. 448G), which came into operation on 1 June 2022, and flights in a Restricted Flying Zone need the department’s prior permission. We check the rules for each location during pre-production and keep a ground-based alternative ready in case a flight cannot go ahead.
Yes, if the shoot is planned for it. We list every asset before filming, so one production can deliver a hero film together with social edits, vertical video, interviews, product shots and campaign photography. The look stays consistent across channels, and you avoid paying for a new shoot each time a channel needs fresh content.
Yes. Our motion design team works in 2D and 3D on explainer videos, animated brand systems and campaign assets. You can read more about our graphic design, motion design and generative AI design services.
We use generative AI where it speeds up ideation, pre-visualisation, localisation and parts of post-production. Every AI-assisted project at Carbon remains human-led, with experienced directors, producers, writers and editors guiding the work.
Yes. If your brief needs a sharper positioning or message before filming starts, our brand strategy and positioning team works on that first, so the films are built on a clear brand story.
