Channel Branding Idents

The Brief

We were delighted to be approached by CCTV China to help brand their first Southeast Asian channel Hi-Indo!. Three main idents were included for the channel  – “Documentary”, “Drama”, and “Entertainment”. 

An exciting opportunity with a blank canvas, the mission includes channel naming, logo design, and surreal and quirky brand identities.

Our Solution

The “Documentary” ident has a quirky scientific appeal to it, using gravity and other laws of physics to deliver a fascinating and abstract impression of science and nature. 

The “Drama” ident demonstrates the visual elements used in drama productions, creating a balance of old period charm and modernism.

Finally, with fun shapes and colours, we created a quirky and playful “Entertainment” ident.
